Director Yvonne Tang and Associate Edsmond Cheong co-authored an article in the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL) Practitioner on practical implications arising from the prohibition of partial trade mark opposition.

This article, which reviews the analysis and findings in past cases as well as the recent decision in Damiani International BV v Dhamani Jewels DMCC, explores the implications of prohibiting partial oppositions for trade mark applicants and practitioners. The issue pertaining to the permissibility of partial trade mark oppositions in Singapore is one that has generated significant interest and discussion amongst IP practitioners in recent months.
