Indonesia | Indonesia’s Merger Control Rules Revised: Threshold Reversal, Introduction Of A New System, And Filing Fees

Indonesia introduces two new regulations concerning merger control. Government Regulation No. 20 of 2023 focuses on types and tariffs of non-tax state revenue applicable to the Indonesian Business Competition Supervisory Authority (KPPU), while KPPU Regulation No. 3 of 2023 addresses the assessment of mergers, consolidations, or acquisitions of shares/assets that may lead to monopolistic or unfair business competition practices. These changes represent the KPPU's efforts to streamline and digitalize merger filing notifications.
