Singapore | High Court rules that joint bank accounts may be subject to garnishee order
In the recent decision of Timing Ltd v Tay Toh Hin and another [2020] SGHC 169, the High Court held that a joint bank account may, under certain conditions, be the subject of a garnishee order. In this update, Director Benedict Teo discusses the practical implications of the Timing Ltd decision, from the perspective of both the judgment creditor and the garnishee bank.
