Director Wendell Wong, assisted by Senior Associate Andrew Chua, authored the Singapore chapter in The Legal 500: Bribery & Corruption Country Comparative Guide 2021.

The Singapore chapter provided a comprehensive look into the legal framework governing bribery and corruption in Singapore, differences between bribery of a public official and private persons, the civil and criminal consequences of bribery, and guidance advice on how to comply with anti-corruption and bribery laws.

The chapter also discussed recent and emerging trends in investigations and enforcements, including the impact from the Covid-19 pandemic, challenges from businesses and enforcement agencies when investigating cases and the most significant corruption-related challenges posed to businesses in the next 18 months, among other topics.
