Serena practices in all aspects of civil, commercial and corporate litigation. Her areas of practice includes contractual disputes, corporate disputes, joint ventures, debt recovery, judicial review, environmental, insolvency, defamation and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitrations.
- Defending an action filed by 9 Plaintiffs against 15 Defendants involving issues premised on fraud, conspiracy, breach of contract, breach of trust and breach of fiduciary duty, where the Plaintiffs are seeking a relief of RM106 million.
- Defending actions filed by purchasers of condominium units against the developer on the validity of an extension of time obtained pursuant to the Housing Development (Control and Licensing) Regulations 1989.
- Acting for the Respondent in an Arbitration in a RM12 billion joint venture dispute involving the construction of a major public transportation system
- Defended a company against summonses issued by the Department of Environment for purported breaches of the Environmental Quality Act 1974.
- Defending proceedings for the enforcement of a RM140 million Indonesian judgment debt, involving novel issues of law regarding defences which can be raised to resist the common law recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments.
- Representing a company in a claim involving the marketing, selling and distribution of automotive batteries against 3 defendants for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty and duty of fidelity, unlawful interference with economic interests and conspiracy.
- Representing a renowned international Spanish professional motorcycle racing team in a claim against their main sponsor for breach of contract and defamation.
