Khoon Jin has extensive experience in advising on IPOs of numerous PRC, Hong Kong and Southeast Asian companies on various stock exchanges, privatisations of various Hong Kong listed companies, and regulatory compliance of numerous listed companies. Khoon Jin also has substantial experience in advising on M&As, JVs and PE investment matters. In addition, Khoon Jin has advised clients on a vast spectrum of issues such as corporate, employment and regulatory matters.

Prior to joining Drew & Napier, Khoon Jin was partner at a couple of multinational law firms and also has experience outside the legal sector, having served as Managing Director at an international investment bank and subsequently, at a global private equity firm.
 
Khoon Jin lived and worked in the Greater China region for more than two decades.  Khoon Jin is bilingual in English and Chinese with native fluency. He also speaks the Cantonese and Hokkien dialects fluently.

  • Advised CGS International Securities Singapore Pte. Ltd., the issue manager in connection with the successful secondary listing of China Medical System Holdings Limited on the Main Board of the SGX-ST.
  • Advised Helens International Holdings Co. Ltd. on its secondary listing on the Main Board of the SGX-ST.
  • Advised Golden Leaf International Group Limited on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2025.  The listing was 12,000 times over-subscribed.
  • Advised China Shenhua Energy, the largest coal producer in China, on its listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (raising HK$23 billion), being the largest IPO worldwide in the year of listing. The deal was named “2005 Best IPO” by AsiaMoney.
  • Advised Pan Asia Paper on its US$277 million joint venture with Hebei Longteng Paper to construct a paper mill in Hebei province, PRC, and the joint venture company, Hebei Pan Asia Long-Teng Paper on its US$215 million equivalent dual currency syndicated loan for financing its project. The deal was named "Asia Pacific Industrial Deal of the Year" by Project Finance Magazine.
