Indonesia | Greenhouse Gas Emission Ceiling for Power Plants

Indonesia’s commitment to combat climate change was demonstrated by President Joko Widodo at the United Nations’ 21st Conference of the Parties (“COP-21”) in 2015. This commitment led to the enactment of Law No. 16 of 2016 on the Ratification of the Paris Agreement to the United
Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, effective as of 25 October 2016. Currently, Indonesia aims to reduce its greenhouse gas (“GHG”) emissions by 29% unconditionally and up to 41% with international support by 2030.
