Indonesia | Strict Compliance for Hiring Foreign Workers in Indonesia’s Banking Sector

Banks in Indonesia may continue to employ foreign workers, but the Financial Services Authority (“OJK”) has introduced stricter limits on tenure, clearer justification requirements, and a stronger emphasis on knowledge transfer. In addition to general manpower rules, banks must now comply with enhanced sector-specific requirements.
