ASEAN Guide on Data Anonymisation released

On 17 January 2025, Association of South East-Asian Nations (“ASEAN”) unveiled the ASEAN Guide on Data Anonymisation (the “Guide”) at the 5th ASEAN Digital Ministers’ Meeting in Thailand. The Guide was developed by members of our Data Protection, Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice in consultation with the Infocomm Media Development Authority, the Personal Data Protection Commission and ASEAN stakeholders.
