Award made on res judicata principles not against public policy, nor a breach of natural justice

In this update, Directors Gerui Lim and Tan Yuan Kheng, and Associate Director Regina Lim discuss the Singapore International Commercial Court decision of Sanum Investments Ltd and another v Government of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and others and another matter [2022] SGHC(I) 9, where it was held that an award made on res judicata principles is not for that reason contrary to public policy, nor would it give rise to a breach of natural justice.
