Singapore | Singapore High Court issues landmark decision ruling that third party has standing to appeal judgment in principal proceedings

Auto Lease (Pte) Ltd v San Hup Bee Motor LLP and others [2023] SGHC 141 presented a novel legal question on the standing of a third party to appeal a judgment in the principal proceedings, in addition to the third party proceedings. The General Division of the Singapore High Court ruled that a third party can appeal a judgment in the principal proceedings if there was an order binding the third party to the result of a trial of the principal action.
