Singapore | The Allianz-Income deal and merger regulation in Singapore

On 14 October 2024, Parliament debated the proposed deal between Allianz Europe B.V. and Income Insurance Limited. Following the debate, Parliament passed the Insurance (Amendment) Act 2024 on an urgent basis on 16 October 2024, giving the Government the power to block the deal in its current form.
