Chloe is an Associate Director in our Dispute Resolution practice group with an active practice in complex commercial and corporate litigation and international arbitration.
She has successfully represented multinational corporations, high-net-worth individuals and investment funds in a broad range of high-value, cross-border disputes before all levels of the Singapore Courts. She also has experience acting in international arbitrations under the SIAC Rules and UNCITRAL Rules across various sectors, including pharmaceuticals, hospitality, gaming, technology and renewable energy.
Chloe has particular expertise in fraud, cross-border investigations, asset recovery, and shareholder disputes. She regularly advises clients on breaches of fiduciary duties, investment and joint venture disputes, and regulatory investigations.
Chloe graduated with First Class Honours from the London School of Economics & Political Science in 2018 and is dual-qualified in Singapore and England & Wales.
- Successfully acted for a high-net-worth individual in Singapore High Court proceedings concerning the fraudulent disposition of assets exceeding S$41 million in value, uncovered through extensive forensic investigations (Wang Xiaopu v Koh Mui Lee and others [2023] SGHC 73).
- Successfully acted for a high-net-worth businessman before the Singapore High Court and Court of Appeal in a cross-border investment dispute concerning a mixed-development in Cambodia involving findings of concealment and wrongful retention of profits exceeding US$35 million by a fiduciary (Ratan Kumar Rai v Seah Hock Thiam and others [2021] SGHC 276 and Tan Teck Kee v Ratan Kumar Rai [2022] SGCA 62).
- Successfully defended a multinational dye manufacturing company before the Singapore International Commercial Court and Court of Appeal against a counterclaim exceeding US$50 million arising from an alleged breach of a preferred supplier agreement (DyStar Global Holdings (Singapore) Pte Ltd v Kiri Industries Ltd and Manishkumar Pravinchandra Kiri [2021] SGHC(I) 12 and Kiri Industries Ltd v DyStar Global Holdings (Singapore) Pte Ltd and another appeal [2023] SGCA(I) 3).
- Successfully acted for a multinational dye manufacturing company valued at US$1.6 billion in proceedings brought by its minority shareholder before the Singapore International Commercial Court seeking, among other things, the winding up of the company (Kiri Industries Ltd v Senda International Capital Ltd and another [2024] SGHC(I) 14).
- Successfully acted for a global distressed debt investment firm in Singapore High Court proceedings concerning the recovery of outstanding debt exceeding US$30 million (AI MTBL SPV, LLC v MTBL Global Fund and another [2024] SGHC 255).
